Commander Connect

Import your VA.gov benefits picture in one click

Ratings, static status, future exam risk, ITF countdown, active claims, service history — pulled from what's already on your VA.gov screen, never your login.

The premium experience

Chrome Web Store listing is in review. Beta testers can load it today:

  1. Download the extension folder: commander-connect-extension.zip and unzip it.
  2. Open chrome://extensions and turn on Developer mode (top right).
  3. Click “Load unpacked” and select the unzipped folder.
  4. Log in at VA.gov, open My VA, and click the Commander Connect icon.

Questions veterans ask

Is this safe?

Yes. Commander Connect runs entirely in your browser. Your VA.gov login is never seen or stored by VA Claim Commander. Only the rating data visible on your screen is imported, and only after you confirm.

What data does it collect?

Your rated conditions, percentages, static status, combined rating, ITF status, active claims, and service dates — exactly what's visible on VA.gov. Nothing else.

Does it store my VA login?

Never. Commander Connect cannot see your password or credentials. It only reads data displayed on screen after you're already logged in.

What does 'static' mean?

A static condition is permanent — the VA won't schedule a future exam to recheck it. Non-static conditions could potentially be reexamined and reduced. Commander Connect shows you which of your existing conditions are protected.
