How this can become a claim
Under 38 CFR §3.310, a disability that's caused or worsened by a service-connected condition — or by the treatment that condition requires — can be service-connected as a secondary claim. If your knee is service-connected and years of prescribed NSAIDs damaged your stomach, the stomach condition can be its own claim, with its own rating.
What the VA needs to see: the diagnosis, the medication history connecting it to the service-connected condition, and a medical opinion making the link. That last part is a licensed provider's call — this tool only shows you where the FDA label says it's worth asking.
