Why veterans never pay
The VA claims space is full of services charging veterans $500 for a nexus letter, $1,000+ for “done-for-you” claim prep, or a percentage of back pay. Our founder paid $800 to one of them before learning a VSO does most of it free.
VA Claim Commander was built on a different model: veterans get the documentation engine free, forever. The business is funded by Pro — the multi-client version sold to VSO offices, accredited claims agents, and VA-accredited attorneys. The professionals pay; the veterans they serve don't.
That alignment is deliberate. A tool funded by veteran fees has an incentive to upsell veterans. A tool funded by professional seats has an incentive to make veteran documentation as good as it can possibly be — because that's what the professionals are paying for.

Is it really free for veterans? What's the catch?
Yes — generating, reviewing, and downloading your documents costs nothing, with no card required and no usage caps. There is no catch: the business is funded by Pro subscriptions sold to VSO offices, accredited claims agents, and VA-accredited attorneys who use the same tools across many clients.
Will I be upsold to a consultation or a paid tier later?
No. There are no consultations to buy, no premium veteran tier, and no locked documents. Every document type — nexus letters, personal statements, buddy statements — is included for veterans at $0.
What does Pro add?
Pro is built for professionals serving multiple veterans: a multi-client dashboard, team seats, persistent client records, organization branding on documents, and per-condition evidence quality assessment. The document generation engine is the same one veterans use free.
How does the Pro trial work?
Every Pro organization starts with a 14-day free trial — no card required. Your trial starts when you add your first client. Add a payment method anytime; billing only begins when the trial ends.
How does Pro seat pricing work?
Pricing is flat per seat: $29/seat/month billed monthly, or $16/seat/month billed annually ($192/seat/year — a 45% savings). Add or remove seats anytime; billing adjusts automatically with prorations.
Do you take a percentage of my back pay or rating?
Never. VA Claim Commander is a self-service documentation tool, not a claims consultancy. We never charge contingency fees, never touch your benefits, and never file anything on your behalf. If anyone offers to file your claim for a cut of your back pay, verify their VA accreditation first — accredited VSO help is free.
