What “working a veteran” means
You are only billed for a month when you do something on the case. The case diary already records each of these.
Counts as a worked month
- Uploading records or receiving them through the intake link
- Running Commander Scan or decoding a decision letter
- Building a statement, letter, form, or filing packet
- Sending a signature, statement, or buddy link
- Filing a document to the case or submitting to VA
- Asking the AI a question about the case

- Opening the case to look at it
- Reading the board, the diary, or the documents
- The veteran signing something you sent last month
- A VA status update arriving on its own
- Printing or downloading what is already built

How it plays out month by month
A one-agent firm, 8 open cases
Brings eight cases in during September, works everyone in October, then four of the cases sit while VA decides.
Six months: $680.
A firm moving 125 cases over, one agent or twenty
Brings the whole caseload in during September and reads every case. From then on, touches about 40 a month. Logins never cost anything.
Six months: $4,300. Charging the whole roster every month would have been $15,000.
The claims that most often come back denied the first time and win on a supplemental look the same on the bill: sleep apnea secondary to PTSD, hypertension secondary to diabetes, tinnitus and hearing loss from in-service noise, migraines secondary to a neck or head injury, GERD from medications. Each is a few worked months around the filing and the C&P exam, then a case that sits. The fee on the retro award is yours; the tool cost $20 in the months you touched it.

How you pay
1. Try it, no card
3 days, up to 5 veterans, to see the scan, the board, and the drafts on your own cases.
2. Add a card, bring in the caseload
Your first calendar month with a card on file is never more than $500. Move every case over in that month and read them all.
3. One invoice on the 1st
We count the veterans you worked last month, multiply by $20, add any pages past 2,500, and charge the card. Every line names the veteran. County and state offices can ask for net-30 invoicing instead.
Big cases: the first 2,500 pages on every veteran are included for good, which covers a normal claims file. Past that, 2¢ a page, once, when the pages are read in. An 8,750-page case is $125, one time.

What counts as working a veteran?
Doing something on the case that month: uploading records or receiving them through the intake link, running the scan or decoding a decision letter, building a statement, letter, form, or packet, sending a signature or witness link, filing a document, submitting to VA, or asking the AI about the case. Opening the case to read it never counts.
How does the trial work?
Every organization starts with a 3-day free trial — no card required, for up to 5 veterans so you can genuinely put it through its paces on your own cases. Add a card when you are ready to bring the caseload over; that first calendar month is capped at $500.
Do team members cost anything?
No. Add your whole office. You pay for veterans worked, never for logins.
What about very large files?
The first 2,500 pages on every veteran are included for good, which covers a normal claims file. Past that, 2¢ a page, once, when the pages are read in. An 8,750-page case is $125, one time.
Can I stop?
Any time. Stop working cases and the bill goes to $0 on its own. Cancel and your documents stay downloadable.
What's the difference from the veteran plan?
The veteran plan (3-day free trial, then $20/month) is for an individual veteran working their own claim. Commander for Advocates is for VSOs, accredited claims agents, and VA attorneys managing many veterans' claims at once: a multi-client roster, unlimited team members, persistent client records, organization branding on documents, per-condition evidence assessment, VA forms filled from the record, and direct submission to VA.
